Mocktail Inspiration for going sober this 2025, full recipes inside

Did you love Dry January so much that you want to carry it on? You wouldn’t be alone, it’s thought that 10% of Brits gave up alcohol this January, with a percentage of those extending their sober habits into February and beyond.
Health benefits of going t-total include reduced blood pressure, better sleep and more energy. As society shifts its views around alcohol, there’s becoming less and less stigma surrounding drinking. Whether you don’t drink at all, have limited your intake, or only dabble socially, Brits are becoming increasingly conscious of healthy habits.
However, if you’re still craving a cocktail or two, it’s more than likely that you’re missing the novelty rather than the alcohol content itself. Having a tipple in a swanky glass with a twist on the side and a garnish on top can really elevate your mood, plus they can taste even better than alcoholic cocktails too.

Cucumber, lime and elderflower spritz
Fizzy, fresh, light - that’s exactly how this mocktail tastes.
Ingredients:
Cucumber (sliced), elderflower pressé, soda water, lime (half juiced, half sliced), granulated sugar
Prep:
Freeze cucumber slices inside giant ice cubes overnight. Then, when you’re ready to go, coat the glass rim with lime juice and dip into granulated sugar, add you cucumber-filled ice cube.
Method:
Squeeze the juice of half a lime into the glass, add two parts soda water and 3 parts elderflower pressé, add sliced lime to serve.
Virgin Pina Colada
This is by far one of the easiest and quickest mocktail recipes on the planet, feeling the tropical vibes in an instant with this two-ingredient recipe.
Ingredients:
Coconut cream, pineapple juice
Method:
Mix one part coconut cream to four parts pineapple juice and pour over ice. Garnish with pineapple leaves and glacé cherries if you wish.
Easy Peasy Iced Tea
This one is a favourite for those long summer nights, sitting outside with friends and family.
Ingredients:
6 tea bags, 2 tbsp golden caster sugar or fine brown sugar, 1 tbsp runny honey, 1 lemon (½ juiced, ½ sliced), 1 orange (½ juiced, ½ sliced), cucumber, mint
Method:
Let the tea bags infuse in warm water with the sugar and the honey for a minimum of 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and leave to chill. Then, stir in the lemon juice and slices, orange juice and slices, sliced cucumber, mint leaves and plenty of ice. Pour into tall glasses and decorate with cocktail umbrellas if you’re feeling fancy.
Raspberry Sour
If you’re missing those really fancy cocktails from your favourite restaurant, the froth on these will have you feeling super snazzy. Pour into a pretty champagne coupe to really feel the elegance.
Ingredients:
Punnet of raspberries, 50ml non-alcoholic gin, ½ lemon (juiced), 2 tbsp vanilla syrup, 1 egg white
Method:
Crush all the raspberries with a muddler or the back of a tablespoon, leave a couple aside for garnishing. Pour the juices into a cocktail shaker, leaving behind the extra mush. Add the non-alcoholic gin, lemon juice, vanilla syrup, egg white and lots of ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds and pour into a champagne or martini glass.
