National Account Manager

Established in 2012, Uberstar has formed into one of the leading suppliers of barware and gifts to UK retailers. Our products are currently ranged in John Lewis, Oliver Bonas, Blue Diamond Garden Centres and many excellent independent boutiques across the UK. Until now the company has been purely run by its sole Director. We're now looking to expand the team to this new full-time role.

Primarily, the role will be working with our database of retail trade customers and making sure they are happy. It will also include finding and sourcing new retail trade customers. Furthermore, as we are only a small team you will be responsible for helping taking in deliveries and unpacking them safely into our warehouse. You will also be packing and despatching orders to both our business customers and direct to the consumer. This is quite a physical role, with cartons weighing up to 30kg and having to use ladders to stack boxes high up on the racking. You will also need to pack our fragile items with care, ensuring there are no damages. Occasionally there is rework on our products, that will need to be completed.

Around 4-7 times a year we exhibit at trade and consumer shows. You will be required to help build the stand, and be customer facing during the show. Some of these shows occur at the weekend. The main locations for these shows are London and Birmingham, however, we are looking at the idea of exhibiting in either Germany or France next year.

Ideally you will be experienced in a similar role, but this is not essential. Other skills, such as online marketing and graphic design will also be of benefit, but are not required.

Based in a small rural business park in Edlesborough, it would be an advantage if you can drive and have your own vehicle.

Initially you will be the sole employee (other than the Director) therefore, this role would suit someone that is happy to work in their own company and is happy to take on a wide variety of roles. This is a hands on role. It is a great opportunity for an experienced account manager to join a small but established company and really set your mark on the company.

Qualifications

No formal qualifications are required. However, you will need to demonstrate attention to detail, excellent verbal and written skills.

Full Time

9am-5pm, Monday - Friday, plus some weekends (see description above)

Salary: £18k-£26k depending on experience.
